Self Care & Self Aware Retreat for Therapists. . .

 

Come and nourish your whole self in a beautiful mountain resort setting!

October 24-27, 2019

 

I will be hosting 12 women therapists for a self care retreat in a beautiful, luxurious mountain cabin on 2 private wooded acres that includes a rushing creek, fire pit, hot-tub, 5 bedrooms 3 sleeping areas, 3.5 bathrooms, billiards table and short distance to Fort Mountain, Ellijay and Blue Ridge. (2 hour drive from the Atlanta airport – ride share might be available from airport if you are flying in).

During this retreat we will discuss and practice various kinds of meditation, gentle yoga, nutrition, care for body, care for mind and care for spirit as well as journaling, self-awareness work and development of a self care plan. This retreat is designed to provide relaxation, rejuvenation, renewal, rest along with learning and practicing tools you can take home with you and use to keep you body, mind, spirit balance in your life and work.  Photos of the property and schedule for the retreat are provided below.

Thursday October 24

Arrive between 5:00 and 6:00 pm

Friday October 25

7:00 Sunrise Meditation & Morning Tai Chi, Chi Kung and Gentle Rise and Shine Yoga

10:00 – 11:30 am Class/Group Session

12:00 Lunch

2:00 – 3:30 pm Class/Group Session

3:30 – 7:00 Free Time

7:00 pm Dinner

8:30 – 9:30 Fire Pit Gathering

Saturday October 26

6:30 Coffee and Tea Available

10:00 – 11:30 am Class/Group Session – Visit to the Creek

12:00 Lunch

2:00 – 4:30 Field Trip to Fort Mountain for Hike to top of Mountain

Sunday October 27

6:30 Coffee and Tea Available

7:00 Sunrise Meditation Morning Exercises and Closing Session

9:00 Pack up & Depart

Fees Include 3 Nights Lodging, 8 Meals & Facilitator Tuition Fees Per Person

  • Single, private Queen bed room (3 available) – $800  ALL RESERVED
  • Single private Full/Queen bedroom in second cabin – $800 —2 AVAILABLE
  • Shared room with 2 Queen beds  – $650 RESERVED
  • Bunk bed in shared room with 3 others – $500 per person 1 Bunk AVALILABLE
  • Single sleep area on fold-out/futon not private room (1 available  in loft) – $500 RESERVED
  • Single sleep space with 1 fold out bed in game room – $500 RESERVED

Payment Procedure:

Fees must be paid in full and there are no refunds available after August 1. If you would like to register please email me at lynn@wonderscounseling.com and I will reply with payment procedure.  

Registration Process & Cancellation Policy:

To qualify for this retreat you must be a licensed psychotherapist, be interested in meditation as a form of self care, be interested in connecting with Nature, be willing to participate in a small group setting and be committed to being kind, respectful and cooperative.

If you are interested in attending, at this time I am asking people to please email me (lynn@wonderscounseling.com) and indicate which lodging option you are interested in. I will follow up with each person individually as to availability and next steps. You will need to pay in fullin order to reserve your spot and first come first serve…

Payments are made in full with no refund by August 1, 2019 so that participants registered are fully committed and last minute cancellations are far less likely. The reason for this is in order to meet the expenses of the retreat space I have to pay in full in advance and late cancellations simply can not be refunded.
