Description: 

This 2 hour live online training webinar will provide therapists a thorough look at the nature of alienation in the process of play therapy when children’s parents are separated and divorced and participants will learn how to appropriately identify alienation for the purpose of case conceptualization and treatment planning using play therapy interventions.

This training provides 1 hour of training on the special topic of alienation and 1 hour of play therapy interventions.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this training participants will be prepared to. . .

  1. Define parental alienation based on the latest literature.
  2. Identify and name 4 signs of an alienated child in the process of play therapy.
  3. List 10 play therapy interventions appropriate for the process of navigating parental alienation
  4. Apply 5 clinical strategies to the play therapy treatment plan in the case parental alienation is identified.

This online training is led by Lynn Louise Wonders, LPC, RPT-S, CPCS of Wonders Counseling Services, LLC (APT Approved Provider 12-321) and provides 2 hours of CONTACT play therapy training and 2 NBCC CE hours. There will be a maximum of 40 participants and all participants must have their camera on and name clearly displayed the entire 2 hours. Participants will be required to complete the online quiz immediately upon conclusion of the webinar presentation in order to receive credit for contact hours.
