If it’s possible for your schedule, I recommend (if you would like to get the max out of this visit) that you fly to Dublin on Saturday July 11 and take the day of July 12 to explore Dublin! (ideas will be provided below). Spend July 11 – 14 in Dublin and check out on the 14th. After training that day, you might want to stay one more night in Dublin OR you might want to drive 1.5 hours to historical Kilkenny and spend the night and tour the famous castle and tour the town the next day. Read this thread and this article for ideas for places to go and see between Dublin and Cork. You’ll be in County Cork for training on July 17 and 18 so I’ll recommend some places to stay below and after training, I recommend you do some further sight seeing for a couple of days on your loop back to Dublin for your return flight on July 20. Of course, you can arrange your trip on your own any way that works for you!
